How long does it take to recover from the procedure?

Patients are often surprised at how little pain they feel and how quickly they recover. Two to three days is usually recommended to relax and adjust to your new smile before returning to work, however many patients feel fine and return to work the next day.

Is age a concern?

Occasionally, older patients express concern that their age may prevent them from enjoying the benefits of dental implants. However, health is more of a determining factor than age. If you’re healthy enough to have a tooth extracted, you’re probably healthy enough to receive dental implants.

I’ve been told I can’t have fixed dentures without bone grafting, is that that case with the All-on-4® Treatment Concept?

The concept of the All-on-4® Treatment is based on angling the dental implants at such a degree as to connect with as much jaw bone as possible. This allows for fewer dental implants, which requires less bone and reduces the need for bone grafting. So for many patients, bone grafting is not necessary because the dental implant and bone can be thoroughly secured with the All-on-4® Treatment Concept.


Are fixed dentures, All-on-4® Treatment Concept, Teeth in a Day, One Day Smile the same thing?

Many names are now being used interchangeably referring to the All-on-4® Treatment Concept including, One Day Smile, Teeth in a Day, Fixed Permanent Dentures, and more. However, the proven effective technique of permanent dentures on a fixed arch with four implants was developed, and trademarked by Nobel Biocare. But be aware, some dental practice websites claim that they use Nobel Biocare products for the All-on-4® Treatment Concept when in fact they don’t.
